The team's leading scorer for the second time in three years, senior attack Matthew Rougeot of Cheshire scored his only goal April 30 in a man-up situation with four minutes left – the final goal of 2019 when fourth-seeded Massachusetts Dartmouth eliminated fifth-seeded Eastern, 9-7, in the first round of the Little East Conference playoffs at Cressy Field on the UMD campus. Rougeot found the back of the net in all 16 matches this year, eight coming when he equalled the program match record which he shares with two others April 13 against Massachusetts Boston. His eighth goal in that match gave Eastern an overtime home win. Rougeot, one of only two players in program history to score as many as 50 goals in a season, finished his 62-game career with 125 goals and 161 points. He finished fourth all-time in goals and 13th all-time in points. He was named to the All-LEC second team in each of his three healthy seasons.
