Women's Track & Field: 4xx800 Relay Wins at Season-Opening RIC Invitational

This non-scoring meet was the season-opener for the Eastern track & field teams.

The 4x800 meter relay was first in a field of five in a time of 10:23.77. Runners were senior Kassandra Banks (Wethersfield), freshman Lauren Bresson (Roxbury), and juniors Samantha McKosky (Deep River) and Haley Knox (Bristol).

Running the mile for the first team, McKosky placed second in a field of 17 in a time of 5:32.64. Running the 5,000 for the first time, Banks was second among six in a time of 19:44.92.

Knox was third and junior Christina Gosselin (Old Saybrook) fifth among 13 with in the 800 with respective times of 2:32.62 and 2:39.57.

In a field of 19 in the 400, sophomore Hayley Brodeur (Old Saybrook) was fourth with a PR and junior Fanta Faro (New Haven) fifth in respective times of 1:04.62 and 1:04.77.

Sophomore Brittany Kriley (Fair Lawn, NJ) shared fourth place in a field of 21 in the high jump with a PR of 4-10 ¼.

Sophomore Maggie Dulak (Northford) was eighth among 18 with a time of 3:25.24 in the 1,000.
