Among the many outstanding performances at Saturday's Massasoit Invitational were those submitted by sophomore Haley Knox (left) and senior Jason Bindner (right). Knox established a women's program indoor record with a time of 3:16.77 while placing third in a field of 21 in the 1000, and Bindner set two personal bests with strong performances in two track and two field events.
Lawrence McGill (left) won the 400 meters and freshman Ahriyan Brown (right) equalled the third-fastest time in program history at 55 meters when the Warriors opened their season at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Invitational Saturday.
Serving as captains for the 2016-17 men's and women's track & field teams are (from left): Kassandrah Banks, Rachel Berkowsky, Lawrence McGill, Mariah McPhee, Adam Pszczolkowski and Mike Underwood.
Eastern student-athletes Maggie Bodington and Lawrence McGill (center in photo above) developed relationships and exchanged ideas at the NCAA Leadership Forum last month in Baltimore. Above, they are shown at the forum with fellow Little East Conference Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representatives from Keene State College and Rhode Island College.
