Freshman forward Patrick Agyemang of East Hartford came off the bench to contribute to three of the team’s goals in just 47 minutes of play, helping the Warriors back from an early two-goal deficit to trim 2017 Little East Conference playoff champion Western Connecticut, 4-3, Wednesday at Thomas Nevers Field. For his performance during the week, he was named LEC Rookie-of-the-Week for the second time this season. In identical fashion to a 4-3 overtime hoin me win over Trinity College two weeks earlier, Agyemang had two goals and an assist and also scored the game-winner against Western as Eastern remained perfect (4-0-0) at home. The team leader with 15 points, the 6-foot-3 inch Agyemang cut Western’s early lead (two goals in the first 20 minutes) in half with his fifth goal of the season, and with the score tied at 2-all, recorded the game-winning goal late in the first half with a header that gave the Warriors a 3-2 halftime lead. Twelve minutes into the second half, Agyemang assisted on an insurance goal.
